Overview

A Plain Round Duct is a type of air duct used in HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) systems to transport air efficiently. Unlike rectangular ducts, round ducts offer better airflow performance due to their shape and reduced air resistance.

Shape: Circular cross-section without any insulation or lining. Material: Usually made from galvanized iron (GI), stainless steel (SS), or aluminum. Sizes: Comes in various diameters, typically ranging from 100 mm to 1000 mm or more. Fabrication: Can be spiral or longitudinally welded/seamed. Advantages: Lower pressure drop and better air velocity. Fewer joints mean reduced leakage. Cost-effective and easier to install in certain applications.
